{Katie + Lane are two of the most fun couples I’ve ever met! Katie made all the props for this shoot! She’s so creative. I LOVE the custom corn hole set! They love to do outdoors stuff so naturally we went to their favorite spot. Even though it is in FL, it was so chilly! They did a great job not showing it in their pictures! I can’t wait for their Riverboat wedding in June! Congrats guys!}

{Meet Kalli!!! My newest Trisomy 21 Rockstar. She is the most precious little owl don’t cha think?? Teehee! She has the best parents, she is one lucky lady! It was so great meeting this new family, she is in great hands. I hope we can do play dates when she gets a little older! Hope to see you again soon Miss Kalli!! WEEK 2: Wickedness…literally.
I recently have fallen love with the character Elphaba from the Wicked book. I know I’m a little late to the phenomenia but hey, I don’t get a lot of free time to myself lol. I relate to her on so many levels, and that’s what these self portraits are about. Relating yourself to your photograph. Showing your vulnerable side. Who is more vulnerable than the Wicked Witch of the West? lol. Anyway, saw the show last week, and it was awesome, I highly reccommend it. Although it is quite a bit different from the book, and the depth of Elphaba isn’t portrayed as well, it’s still a great great show. Anyway enjoy!
ps. turning yourself green in photoshop is a lot harder than it looks so cut me a little slack! lol

Local photographer Lauren Gherardi and I decided it was time to work on our photography skills as well as getting to know ourselves. There is no better way to achieve both of these than through a self portrait project. I’m hoping to grow as a person as well as an artist by doing one self portrait project a week through the year 2012, and I hope you guys find them interesting and can enjoy them, but they are just as much for me as they are for you guys. Some weeks will be fun, some weeks may be sad, and some you may just scratch your head and say “What the heck?” lol!!
Goodbye to a wonderful year, 2011, and hello to 2012, I have a feeling you’re gonna be a pretty kick butt year!!!
